FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is parking available?

A single parking permit for Mevagissey Harbour, a two minute walk from Quayside, is provided free of charge for each apartment. The parking permit will be supplied upon arrival and must be clearly displayed on the vehicle dashboard while parked in the harbour car park, and returned to Quayside Mevagissey at check-out. The permit entitles the holder to park their vehicle in one of the designated parking spaces located after the Aquarium on the southern side of the harbour. The vehicle owner must follow all parking rules and conditions and is responsible for any fines or penalties incurred. Quayside takes no responsibility for any damage to vehicles. Vehicles displaying a valid disabled parking permit can park just steps away from Quayside in the bays located outside the Wheelhouse pub. In the event of adverse weather conditions guests are advised to move their vehicles to a more sheltered location (hosts will advise of alternatives). 

How do I find Quayside when I arrive in Mevagissey?

A couple of days prior to your arrival we will send you an email with a link providing clear directions to the drop off point. We recommend you follow these directions rather than satnav systems which often miss the entrance to the harbour and send you the wrong way. 

What amenities are provided? 

All apartments have full central heating. Each flat has a kitchen including hob, oven/microwave and fridge/freezer, and a full range of utensils and pots and pans. Nespresso coffee machines and capsules, as well as instant coffee, tea and sugar are supplied. A full complement of cutlery, crockery and glassware is provided. High quality bed linen and towels are supplied, as are hand and bodywash and shampoo. Free WiFi. SMART TVs and Amazon Echo devices are in living rooms and additional TVs in all bedrooms. A selection of board games, playing cards and reading materials are available for guest use. 

Are there any additional charges?

There is a one-off cleaning fee for all bookings; GBP40 for the two bed apartment, and GBP30 for a one bed flat. 

Are the hosts on-hand during my stay?

Daniel and Ross are the hosts and owners. They live onsite in the top two floors of Quayside, and are generally available to assist with check-in and check-out and respond to any guest queries. At certain times of year they will be away travelling, however the apartments will be managed in their absence by Mevagissey locals who are available to assist with any queries.  

Can I bring a pet?

Although we love pets, unfortunately we don't allow them to stay as our flats contain high quality furnishings and we want to ensure the comfort of our human  guests. 

Can I bring my baby?

We welcome infants. We can supply a travel cot upon request though guests are responsible for all infant bedding.

Can I add extra guests? 

You should indicate, at the time of booking, how many guests will be in your party. For our two bedroom flat the maximum is 4 guests, for the one bed flats 2 guests. If, in addition to the above guest maximums, you intend to bring an infant, please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

The check-in time is 4pm, and check-out 10am. Please advise, prior to arrival, of your ETA. If you would like an early check-in or late check-out please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate. If, on the day of your check-in, you arrive early, we will be happy for you to drop your luggage in the event your apartment is not ready. 

What if I won't arrive until late? 

We understand that guests, due to work commitments, long journeys or misadventure, may not be able to arrive until late. Please let us know if this is the case and we are quite happy to greet guests up until around 11pm or even later. We can provide instructions for self check-in for later arrivals. Contact us and we will give details. 

What if I cancel my booking?

Our payment terms are as follows: 10% non-refundable prepayment at times of booking with the balance due 7 days prior to arrival.  If you advise us that you wish to cancel more than 7 days prior to arrival we will void the booking and you will not be liable for the balance portion of the booking. 

Am I required to clean my apartment before departure?

Guests are expected to leave their apartment in a generally tidy condition. Some cleaning products are supplied. There is no need to strip beds. Please ensure all general rubbish is left in the bin provided (this can be emptied upon request) and that recyclable materials are separated and, if possible, left near the bin. If you would like these removed please let us know.
